A Day in the Past – History themed sessions for pre-school and KS1 children. Covering Romans/Romano British and Vikings/Saxons/Battle of Hastings. Bringing history to life through fun activities and crafts as well as lots of hands on opportunities with historical replicas. Also with quizzes and exercises for older children. Arts Club – Educational Workshops for the Home Education community. Michelle was home educated as a teenager before going to university and now provides a range of workshops for home educating families and groups. Workshops available include philosophy, creative writing, English literature, history, sociology and more! Classes can be adapted to suit ages 5-18 years approximately (university style seminars may be available for teens). Tutoring for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and Sociology also offered. Daisy First Aid – First aid classes both for parents and children. Covering subjects including CPR, recovery position, choking, fever, head injuries, bleeds, burns and more. Earthkind Education – combining nature-based experiences with global learning to create a truly unique and holistic home-school programme for young people between 6-16 years of age. Exploring different themes through outdoor classrooms and completing problem solving challenges to develop critical thinking, eco-literacy, leadership and creativity skills. Fossils Galore – A local charity that provides educational workshops on prehistoric subjects. Workshops might include hands on fossil talks and fossil hunting activities with fossils to take home. Little Aqua – Local swim school that offers swimming lessons for children of all ages and abilities. Offering 1:1 or 2:1 lessons across 7 sights in the area, 7 days a week. Little Beehive Montessori – Ely based Montessori tutor offering 1:1 and small group learning support for children aged 2 ½ to 7 years. Relaxation and massage – Nikki Sweeney provides workshops in various relaxation techniques for children, encouraging them to use their senses in a fun, educational and interactive way.
